JUST IN....

STAR pupils from Stretford High School have produced another record year at the most improved school in the North West.

It’s been a nerve-wracking wait, but for many of the young people picking up their exam results today, the hard work has paid off.

Initial results show that 100% of students leaving school got a qualification, 80% of all students achieved at least 5 A* to C, 45% of Y11 students got 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths, and 93% of students got 5 A*-G grades. The average point score per pupil is 431.8, registering an impressive increase from last year’s figure of 422.6

The students have demonstrated amazing effort and thoroughly deserve these results as the reward for their commitment and hard work.

These results are also a testimony to the tremendous skill and commitment of our outstanding team of staff who have worked closely with young people and their parents over the last 5 years.

We are all confident that the Alumni of 2010 will go on to succeed in their chosen pathways and we wish them every success.

My congratulations go to them all, their families and to the staff who have made their achievement possible.
